Salary up to £35k Basic + Uncapped Commission OTE £60k - £70k +

About the Role
We are now looking to recruit a Business Development Manager for their established and market leading Media Evaluation division. Clients typically access their evaluation via the web where they can perform searches, edit results, add commentary, download or forward results. The main purpose of the role will be to identify and convert opportunities to sell evaluation services to existing and potential clients. Main responsibilities will be:
- To identify, develop and maximise new business opportunities in specific market sectors
- To have an in-depth knowledge of relevant products and processes in order to provide informative and valuable evaluation solutions for the client.
- To develop and maintain good client relationships during the sales process
- To provide a high quality handover to Client Services.
- To be involved with promotional activities.
- To continue to ensure that the Company remains a leader in the field of media monitoring
- Awareness of service issues and excellent error management
- Manage communication of company information and service updates to new clients
- To attend client and industry functions (sales forums, award ceremonies, dinners etc)
- Maintain a high level of commercial awareness at all times.
Candidate Requirements
- Demonstrate tenaciousness with a high-energy approach
- Track record lead generation and selling
- Extensive knowledge and experience of media monitoring and/or evaluation preferred
- Demonstrable record of providing excellent customer service
- Sound commercial outlook and ability to respond to market trends
- Ability to plan, prioritise and deliver to tight deadlines
- A high level of interpersonal and influencing skills
- Excellent communication abilities, oral, written and face-to-face
- Ability to stay calm and maintain friendly rapport under pressured conditions
- Solution Sales background is essential and it is preferable you have sold business information
